A note on the making.
uxward.com is where I keep my work and my writing. It has a light mode and a dark mode (and a super-secret easter-egg mode), one typeface, and it gets revised when I get around to it. Most people will never see this page. If you're reading it: hi. I like you already.

A note on the breach.
You found the override. The same working journal, jacked into Night City: wet asphalt, fluorescent signage, and a handbrush face pulled off the shelf for the occasion. Type the code again, click the radiation symbol, or press Esc, to surface back into daylight.

One typeface. That's it.

Five colors. Only one of them is allowed to be loud.

The page. Off-white on purpose; pure white is harsh on the eyes.

Decisions
Things I decided, and things I decided against.
Chose to
Preach about stuff. My work, my experience, my opinions, etc. They're here. Have at them. Happy if you like them, it's okay if you don't.
Chose to
Wire the masthead to the repository. The four cells at the top of the home page report the last thing shipped, the last thing written, and the commit this build came from. None of it is typed by hand, so none of it can quietly go stale.
Chose to
Show 29 projects out of 100-plus. Not everything I've shipped is worth your time, and pretending otherwise would be its own kind of lie. So you get both numbers.
Chose not to
Put client logos on the site. A logo tells you who paid me, not what I did, and half this work is under NDA anyway. What actually happened is the credential.
Chose not to
Hide the parts that went wrong. Every case study here says what I'd do differently. Nobody's portfolio is actually mistake-free; the ones that look that way have just been edited.
Chose to
Give dark mode two reds. Red type on a dark page has to be lighter to stay legible; pale type on a red field needs that field to be darker. One value cannot do both, so the signature is two tokens after dark and one in daylight.
